HONOR HAL FINNEY’S LEGACY

Hal Finney was an amazing man, a dedicated father, a loving husband and a lifelong fighter for freedom as a cypherpunk.  He was integral to the fight for online encryption through his work with PGP and early support for Bitcoin.  Hal was the first person to contact Satoshi after the release of the whitepaper offering help and assistance.  Other than Satoshi he was the first to run Bitcoin, mine Bitcoin and was the very first person to receive a transaction and publicly acknowledge its existence with his “running Bitcoin” Tweet.
